Prayer is the life blood of the individual Christian and of the Church. Without spending time in prayer each day we will quickly lose touch with God. But when prayer happens it allows God in and it changes lives and situations.
However, many of us find prayer a barrier for all sorts of reasons. Lack of time, of inclination or indifference and even a sense of not knowing what to say often contribute to many Christian's silence in the area of prayer.
As a Church we want to encourage whoever you are and at whatever stage you are in your journey of prayer. If we were all honest none of us find it particularly easy.
This page gives you the opportunity to be informed about the times and places where prayer takes place and is an open invitation for you to join in whatever way you can. Be assured that often just being there and sometimes sitting in silence listening to God is of more use than a thousand spoken words! Why not try?

Preparing oneself for meeting with God in times of worship can be a great help, irrespective of whether or not you are taking part in the service.
Before our Morning Service we meet to pray for God to work by His Spirit in our worship, that he would speak to us and recharge each one of us for the week ahead. We also pray for those who are taking part in a whole number of different ways and we also pray for those who visit us for the first time to Church.
This time is open to everyone who wants to prepare in a time of silence and prayer, but is especially commended to those who are taking part within our service.
The Ministry of Prayer
Time: 10.30am
Day/s: Sunday
Place: The Lounge in Church
Style: Structured but informal.
There are times in all of our lives when we want to share a sense of joy and thanksgiving to God or we want to pray and seek his support and help in an area. Doing this with other people to help pray can be of a great comfort to many.
We offer after our Morning Service the opportunity to pray with a couple of other people about the things you want to pray or give thanks for, but this can also be arranged in your home and at a time to suit you.
